Class Level Descriptions:
- Level 1-This is the best place for Beginner’s to get started in their yoga practice. Even though it is not the ONLY place, this is still where one will receive a great deal of education in alignment, purpose and meaning behind the practice of Yoga, names of the postures, etc.
- Note: This is also suited for those that have not practice Yoga in some time.
- Level 2- We move on to a more fluid style of Yoga. Whether you are holding poses in the Slow Flow class, or moving a bit quicker in the Hatha classes this is best suited for those that have some knowledge of the practice. You do not have to be advanced to participate in these classes, just comfortable enough with the postures to know your way around a mat
- Level 3- Now this is where things get sweaty! These classes are best suited for students who feel comfortable to move quickly on the mat. These classes are strong, with a great deal of quick transitions. They are open to all intermediate and advanced students, and/ or those who are just plan dare devils.
Descriptions:
Ashtanga Primary Series: (Skill Level: Intermediate to Advanced)
This class has been designed to challenge your strength and stamina. During this hour and a half class we will allow our bodies to flow with the breath, in and out of a set series of postures that have been designed to detoxify and rejuvenate the body. This class is best suited for intermediate to advanced students.
Beginners Hatha: (Skill Level 1)
This is a great place to start your Yoga practice. During this one hour class we will take you through each posture, introducing it step by step…breath by breath. Whether you are new to Yoga, or if it has been awhile since you stepped onto your mat, our elementsLife Yoga Teacher Trainees will see to it that you advance in your practice with skill and knowledge.
Hatha: (Skill Levels 1, 2 & 3)
Gentle and invigorating, this style of Hatha Yoga will warm our bodies up through stretching and breath work, then we will quickly slow things down to prepare you for any activities your schedule deems. This class is best suited for all levels, beginners and advanced.
Modified Primary Series: (Skill Levels 2&3)
Just like the name, this class is a modification of the full Ashtanga Primary Series. Over the course of an hour and half you will flow through 32 postures in a very rhythmic form that will realign the nervous system, and detoxify the body.
Power Hour: (Skill Level 2&3)
A “power”ful class designed to heat up the body for detoxification. The tempo of this class is quick, and the asana’s will challenge you. This one hour class is best suited for people at the intermediate to advanced levels.
Restorative Yoga: (Skill Levels 1, 2 & 3)
Stretch, Relax and Breathe your way into this phenomenal new class. Setting the mood by candlelight, low lighting, and soft relaxing music you will begin to feel the immediate benefits from this class. Whether you are winding down from a rough day at work, suffering from a physical ailment, or just loaded with stress this class is the perfect class to put you on the path to physical and mental restoration.
Slow Flow Vinyasa: (Skill Levels 2&3)
Are you ready to take things to a whole new level? This class has been designed to challenge you in a subtle, but powerful way. During this one hour session we will pull energy in from our breath to help us focus on our awareness as we hold the postures for longer periods of time (roughly half a minute). This invigorating style of Yoga helps one to build strength and stamina. This class is best suited for all of those willing push beyond their typical practice level
Vinyasa: (Skill Level 3)
This class is great if you really want to challenge yourself. Centered around our core, we will focus on strengthening and toning from the inside out. This is a transformational class that will reintroduce your body and mind. This class is best suited for people who are ready for a physical change, and who are prepared to meet the demands of this quick moving Yoga class.
