Welcome to the Third Street Market!

The Third Street Market is an extension of our (elementsLife) efforts to bring unique products and services to our region. Unlike a conventional Farmer’s Market we view ourselves as a Community Resource with a mix of Organic, Natural and Earth-Friendly products, services and education opportunities that enhance the lives of our patrons.

As a Merchant we support your business through our Marketing & Promotion efforts as well as the Third Street Market: Incubator Program that offers low or no cost business consulting, workshops, presentations, resources and information from local and regional business leaders and organizations. Merchant Application Process:

  1. Fill out the Merchant Application and submit (mail or drop-off)
  2. Schedule a Merchant Info Session consultation by calling CJ @ 937.417.3592
  3. Sign the 3 month contract
  4. Submit the security deposit
  5. Submit proof of insurance or non-insured waiver
  6. Schedule your move in date
  7. Begin selling your merchandise

-Merchant Booth Pricing:

  • Full Booth (10’x 7’) =$105.00 per month
  • Half Booth (5’x 7’) =$75.00 per month
  • Kiosk Booth =$40.00 per month
  • Note: $20.00 electric fee per refrigerator or freezer

-Booth Rent:

  • Due the first day of each month
  • Rent Invoice submitted to Vendors each month -Grace Period = 1st – 5th day of each month
  • $5.00 admin fee for each additional day
  • Pro-Rated Rent:
    • Based on 30 Day Month and booth size
      • Full Booth =$3.50 x # of days
      • Half Booth =$2.50 x # of days
      • Kiosk Booth =$1.34 x # of days
    • Note: Pro-rated months do not apply to the 3 month contract

-Contract:

  • 3 month contract required
  • Month by month contract (available after 6 months)
  • Monthly contract review meeting available

-Security Deposit:

  • Holds your space prior to move-in
  • $25.00 Non-refundable for Booth & Half Booth
  • $15.00 Non-refundable for Kiosk Booth

-Consignment:

  • Sales Options:
    • Ring your sales in your booth (collect your own sales and tax = no consignment fee)
    • Consignment Sales (15%) if we sell your products in your absence (Note: We encourage you to man your booth as much as possible)!
  • Consignment Sales Rate = 15% of total merchant sales
  • Sales paid to Merchant 15th & last day of month
  • Sales key on Third Street Market cash register
  • Food vendors = taxable and non tax keys
  • Sales report included with sales pmt.
  • Consignment Tax:
    • Collected through register = paid by us
    • Tax collected by merchant = vendor responsibility

-Insurance:

  • Show proof of insurance for booth contents…Or
  • Sign “non-insured” waiver

-Booth Content: The products and services in your booth should reflect the mission of the Third Street Market to provide “a mix of Organic, Natural and Earth-Friendly products, services and education opportunities that enhance the lives of our patrons”.

-Booth Look & Feel: The tone of the Third Street Market is “Mid-Century modern meets farm country”. With a warm brown ceiling, cream colored walls and a deep red painted floor, we feel that product and booth styles ranging from primitive to contemporary will successfully represent your business and the mission of the Third Street Market.

-Fixtures, Furniture & Aesthetic Details: We encourage you to use distinctive pieces that reflect your business and product lines. Whether you are using an old cupboard or wooden boxes stacked on an old kitchen table to merchandise your contents, we encourage you to utilize “found” pieces vs. pre-made particle board or plastic displays. If you need some help…we have a room full of items you can barrow

-Third Street Market Culture: We encourage you to know and promote the other merchants as well as the Third Street Market. This is a collaborative community environment and we hope to build a long lasting relationship with you and all of our patrons.

-Security: Shop lifting or as the retail industry calls it SHRINK can be an issue especially in a busy environment such as ours. Although we do not have any high tech stoppers we do suggest that you check your inventory often, use hang tags on your items to be removed at the time of sale and keep smaller “pocketable” items in clearly visible locations when you are not in your booth.
