Emily Jasenski B.A. E-RYT

Emily began her Yoga journey in 2002 and what an amazing ride it has been thus far. In 2007 Emily became a Registered Yoga instructor with the National Yoga Alliance in both Hatha and Ashtanga Yoga. During her Teacher Training program she had the privilege to train with exceptional teachers such as Paul Grilley, Julia Sims and Debbie Stirsman. Also in 2007 Emily opened her own Yoga studio in her rural hometown, Greenville, Ohio. Although the idea of teaching Yoga outside of a gym setting was a foreign concept for the residents of her community, in four short years she has grown the once part-time studio into a full-time career for herself and husband.

With a B.A. in Mass Communications, Emily loves public speaking. Since establishing the studio in 2007, she has promoted the benefits of Yoga as a guest speaker for regional service clubs, non-profit organizations, businesses, as well as events within the education and the healthcare industries. These opportunities combined with her continued passion to work with clients with special needs (with a focus on Multiple Sclerosis) have open new doors for Emily and elementsLife Yoga. In the Fall of 2010 Emily joined three other professionals as a guest speaker for the “Women’s Day Out” event sponsored by Wayne Healthcare (located in Greenville). This CEU certified event gave Emily the opportunity to address an audience of Healthcare professionals about the implementation of Yoga principles into their daily patient care with a focus on rehabilitation. The pinnacle of her presentation was when she asked her client Ted to join her on stage at which point she prompted him to demonstrate several poses. Upon his successful demonstration of a shoulder stand, she announced that Ted has Multiple Sclerosis and was in wheel chair two months before they began working together in 2007. The impact of Emily’s presentation has solidified her status as a respected provider of Yoga instruction for both the general public and those with special needs.

elementsLife Yoga is not the typical Yoga Studio. With a focus on Conscious Living, Emily has successfully created programs and services that move beyond the classroom setting including a Private Client Program with a focus on Therapeutic, Body and Life Yoga, an ongoing Workshop Series that encompasses everything from Beginners Meditation to Lifestyle Management and Training and the addition of the elmentsLife Teacher Training Program (200 hour National Certification) in 2010. It is safe to say that this is only the beginning for Emily and her efforts to incorporate Yoga into the fabric of every life she touches at elementsLife Yoga Studio.

Emily spends much of her time with her two sons, Liam and Charlie and of course her Husband/Business Partner/Guru CJ. Future projects include Core Vinyasa Certification, further development of elementsLife U. (a resource and support for Yoga Students and Practitioners including business development info, working with MS clients and a certified CEU provider for the Healthcare and Social Work industries).
